ഇന്ത്യയിലെ പ്രശസ്തരായ നടന്മാർ അണിനിരക്കുന്ന സെലിബ്രിറ്റി ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ലീഗ് നവംബർ മാസം ആരംഭിക്കും. മലയാളം തമിഴ് തെലുങ്ക് കന്നഡ ഹിന്ദി ബംഗാൾ പഞ്ചാബി ഭോജ്പുരി തുടങ്ങി എട്ടുഭാഷാ ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ടീമുകളാണ് സിസിഎല്ലിൽ മത്സരിക്കുന്നത്.

സെലിബ്രിറ്റി ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ലീഗിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ ആരാധകരുള്ള ടീമാണ് കേരള സ്ട്രൈക്കേഴ്സ്.

പ്രശസ്ത നടനും ക്രിക്കറ്റ് പ്ലെയറുമായ ഉണ്ണിമുകുന്ദനാണ് ടീം ക്യാപ്റ്റനെന്ന് കേരള സ്ട്രൈക്കേഴ്സിന്റെ കോ-ഓണറായ രാജ്കുമാർ സേതുപതി പറഞ്ഞു. ഉണ്ണിമുകുന്ദനെ ടീം ക്യാപ്റ്റനായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാൻ കാരണം ക്രിക്കറ്റ് കളിയോടുള്ള ഉണ്ണിമുകുന്ദന്റെ പാഷൻ തന്നെയാണ്. സെലിബ്രിറ്റി ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ലീഗ് ആരംഭിച്ച കാലം മുതൽ കേരള സ്ട്രൈക്കേഴ്സ് ടീമിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ഉണ്ണിമുകുന്ദൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒരുപിടി ടൂർണമെന്റുകളിലും വിവിധ ക്ലബ്‌കളിൽ കളിച്ച പരിചയവും ക്രിക്കറ്റിനെക്കുറിച്ച് നല്ല ധാരണയുമുള്ള ചെറുപ്പക്കാരനാണ് മലയാളത്തിന്റെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട നടൻ ഉണ്ണിമുകുന്ദനെന്ന് രാജ്കുമാർ സേതുപതി പറഞ്ഞു.

ഉണ്ണിമുകുന്ദന്റെ ജന്മദിനമായ സെപ്റ്റംബർ 22ന് പിറന്നാൾ സമ്മാനമായി ഏറെ സന്തോഷത്തോടെയാണ് ടീം മാനേജ്മെന്റ് ഔദ്യോഗികമായി ഉണ്ണിമുകുന്ദനെ ക്യാപ്റ്റനായി പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നത്. കേരള സ്ട്രൈക്കേഴ്സ് ടീമിന്റെ പരിശീലന ക്യാമ്പ് ഒക്ടോബർ പകുതിയോടെ ആരംഭിക്കും. ഈ ക്യാമ്പിൽ വച്ചായിരിക്കും മറ്റു അംഗങ്ങളെ ടീം മാനേജ്മെന്റ് പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നത്.

Unni Mukundan named Captain of Kerala Strikers for the coming season of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL).

Kerala Strikers has officially announced the renowned actor and cricket enthusiast Unni Mukundan as its new captain. The announcement was made by team’s co-owner Rajkumar Sethupathy, who emphasized that Unni’s deep passion for cricket and longstanding involvement with the Kerala Strikers made him the natural choice for this leadership role. Unni Mukundan has been a part of the team since inception and brings with him valuable experience and team spirit.

Rajkumar Sethupathy added Unni is not just one of Malayalam cinema’s most beloved actors but also a talented cricketer with a keen understanding of the game. His leadership will add new energy and direction to the team.

This announcement comes on the 22nd of September to coincidence with and to celebrate Unni Mukundan’s birthday.

With a strong caption at the helm and a renewed lineup of seasoned players and debutants, Kerala Strikers are gearing up to give its fans an exciting season.

Kerala Strikers’ training camp is scheduled for mid October. Following the camp the final squad of players will be announced by the management.

Season 12 of the CCL is proposed to commence in November 2025. CCL brings together stars from eight major Indian film industries – Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Bengal, Punjab, and Bhojpuri cinema.
